The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It tells the chilling story of terror, murder, and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Described as one of the most sensational cases from their files, the film will start with a fight for the soul of a young boy, which then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
The horror film sees the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, who last reprise their iconic roles in 2019’s Annabelle Comes Home. The film will also feature Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona), marking the first Conjuring film that Wan didn’t direct. It was written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring 2, Aquaman) based on a story by James Wan & David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Executive producers are Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michelle Morrissey with James Wan and Peter Safran, who have collaborated on all the Conjuring Universe films.
