Internet Money producer Nick Mira is branching out to launch his label, MiraTouch, with his first signee Dro Kenji. MiraTouch will partner with Elliot Grainge’s 10K Projects and Internet Money, Billboard exclusively reports.
“Not only is Nick a once-in-a-lifetime producer, but he’s got one of the strongest ears in the game,” says Grainge, 10K Project’s CEO. “Nick is a fantastic label partner who brings unique and forward-thinking ideas to the table, including Dro Kenji, whose new project we’re excited to release today. We’re thrilled to continue our work alongside Nick, Taz, and the Internet Money crew to build out the MiraTouch partnership and make some more hits.”
Mira, along with his Internet Money team, enjoyed considerable success in 2020. The production team landed a top-ten hit on the Hot 100 with the Don Tolliver and Gunna-assisted single “Lemonade.” They later secured a remix with Roddy Ricch.
“It’s beyond exciting to be working with such amazing partners who are familiar with MiraTouch’s goals and aspirations,” Mira tells Billboard. “Now I’m blessed to be able to sign my own producers and artists, whom I can share a vision with and provide guidance to. More importantly, having a label is a big leadership step, and I’m prepared to push the producers, artists, and the youth who I want to see win.”
He continues, “MiraTouch will strive to make the best product out there for the fans. Right now, I’m really excited for my producers John Luther & Paryo to tear up the scene and produce for everyone’s favorite artists.”
As for Kenji, his MiraTouch debut project, EAT YOUR HEART OUT, arrived earlier today. The eclectic artist kicked things to high-gear with his 11-track endeavor, which honors legendary rock band KISS.
“EAT YOUR HEART OUT is the third project I’ve dropped since working with Internet Money, and it’s the craziest one yet,” Kenji details. “I touch on my feelings about love, heartbreak, and personal struggles, both emotional and mental. The artwork pays homage to KISS because I love old rock bands.”
