This Unseen Green Day ‘Insomniac’ Tour Doc Will Make You Feel Young Again… Or Super Old

After seven months of no concerts or large gatherings, watching a 25-year-old documentary about a time when 5,000 sweaty kids packed into an arena like sardines to see Green Day blow the roof off the dump seems like 250 years ago. That’s the nostalgic feeling you’ll get watching a just-unearthed, previously unreleased European tour doc celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Bay Area trio’s fourth studio album, Insomniac.

The collection, which turned 25 on Oct. 10, will also be celebrated with a double-LP reissue on translucent orange vinyl with bonus live tracks from a 1996 Prague show; due to COVID-19 production delays, the vinyl, available here, won’t ship until early 2021.
